We are looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team in our shiny new building at Cinderford. This role offers 25 hours per week, with a mixture of theatre care and consulting.
Flexible Rota Patterns That Work for You
Our people are at the heart of everything we do. We know work-life balance is vital to helping you be your best, so we offer flexible rota patterns designed to fit your lifestyle and career stage.
For this part-time position, hours will be negotiated to suit, but the role typically includes some weekday shifts and 1 in 6 Saturday mornings at our Lydney site.
About the Practice
Our newly expanded building features separate dog and cat wards, a dental room, separate theatre and lab, plus a large staff room and air conditioning throughout. We have invested in equipment including digital x-ray (with dental x-ray), ultrasound, in-house haematology and biochemistry, therapeutic laser (nurse-led), and new Bair Huggers and multiparameters at each site.
We are committed to becoming Cat Friendly and already prioritise a low-stress environment for all species.
The Team and Culture
You will work alongside an experienced team including a Senior Veterinary Nurse, two Veterinary Surgeons, a Student Veterinary Nurse apprentice, and reception staff. Our three sites work closely together to provide excellent support and collaboration.
We encourage staff development and involvement in decision-making through regular practice meetings and clinical clubs. We welcome new ideas and fresh experiences to continually improve.
What We’re Looking For
We need a confident, experienced RVN who can work independently when needed, as there will be days you are the only RVN on site. This role is unlikely to suit newly qualified nurses.
We offer opportunities for clinical development in areas like dental radiography, dental scaling, and wound suturing. Several vets on site hold or are working towards certificates, so there is plenty of scope to grow your skills.
