KennedyPearce are hiring a Finance Analyst with experience in the media sector to join a media agency in west London on a 6 month contract. This role will be 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home.
This role supports forecast and quarter-end close reporting, as well as the management of selected market costs, including purchase orders, invoice processing, and cost tracking. You will work closely with the wider EMEA finance team throughout reporting cycles, providing accurate analysis and operational finance support.
Key Responsibilities
Forecasting
Roll forward forecast models and actualise for prior quarters
Prepare territory P&Ls and reporting packs
Consolidate market risks and opportunities (R&O) submissions
Upload forecasts into financial systems and reconcile to P&L models
Quarter-End Close
1. Prepare quarter-end close files, including comparative analysis (prior forecast, R&O)
2. Maintain a current view of quarterly performance, tracking EMEA and territory variances
3. Coordinate with finance stakeholders to ensure variance explanations are accurate and up to date
4. Calculate and post accruals for selected market-related costs
Other Responsibilities
5. Process market-related costs, including POs and invoices
6. Prepare monthly retail subscription revenue reports versus forecast, highlighting variances by market driven by subscriber volumes
7. Provide ad-hoc support to the Finance Manager as required
Skills & Experience Required
8. Experience in financial planning and analysis, ideally within the media sector
9. Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
10. Experience using financial systems, including SAP/BW and Cognos Reporting
11. Advanced Excel skills
12. Experience supporting operational and commercial teams (desirable)
13. Experience with template creation and data consolidation
