As a Lead Project Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring these services are designed, transitioned and delivered with precision, resilience and absolute accountability.
This is a role for a Project Management leader who understands the importance of rigour, collaboration and trust when the stakes are high and the outcomes truly matter.
You’ll lead high-value IT projects that directly support operational excellence across secure and highly regulated environments. Working at the intersection of strategy, delivery and governance, you’ll not only drive projects to successful completion but also help shape the standards, methodologies and best practices that enable Leonardo to deliver at scale—safely, securely and reliably.
Responsibilities
* Define project goals, create a detailed plan, and establish timelines.
* Allocate the necessary resources, including team members, budgets, and equipment.
* Monitor the progress of the project, identify and resolve any issues, and make adjustments to the plan if necessary.
* Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, including team members, customers, and executives.
* Ensure that all objectives have been met, document the results and evaluate the performance of the project.
What You Will Bring (Qualifications)
* In-depth understanding of the industry in which the organization operates and market dynamics, as well as the logic of building and delivering IT services.
* Organizational skills with the ability to plan and manage project activities efficiently.
* Leadership ability to lead and motivate the project team.
* Problem-solving ability to solve problems and make quick and effective decisions.
* Excellent communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
* Maintain detailed documented information of projects to ensure traceability and reproducibility.
* Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (PMI).
* Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).
* PRINCE2.
* Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Business Management, Engineering, or a related field.
* Master’s degree in project management, risk management, business process management, IT service management, or related fields.
* Note: We welcome candidates with varying levels of experience; the most important skill is a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personnel Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, which could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
