Job Description
We are seeking a Group Training Advisor to join my Client's Training Department. This role involves designing, developing, delivering, and assessing development programmes and apprenticeships to enhance skills, competence, and future talent across the Group. The position requires regular travel to other UK sites and offers a dynamic work environment with diverse responsibilities.
Job Purpose:
* Design and develop structured development programmes and apprenticeships tailored to meet Group needs.
* Prepare, coordinate, and schedule training activities in line with Group standards and timelines.
* Deliver training with a focus on practical skills, technical competence, and learner progression.
* Assess and monitor learner progress and programme outcomes, aligning with recognised standards.
* Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and support to learners, addressing any related issues in collaboration with the Training Manager and HR.
* Manage administrative aspects of training programmes including record-keeping and documentation.
* Collaborate with supervisors and managers to support learner development and identify training needs.
* Participate in quality assurance activities related to programme development and delivery.
* Engage in promotional activities for the company, such as recruitment events and school engagements.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Training function.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* GCSE in English and Maths (or equivalent) at grade C / level 4 or above.
* Qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) at level 3 or above.
* Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or production environment.
* Strong skills in designing, developing, and delivering training programmes.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills.
* Proficiency in IT and Microsoft Office applications.
* Full UK driving license and willingness to travel regularly.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Qualification in Education and Training.
* Qualification in Assessing Vocational Achievement.
* Experience with CAD software and technical drawing interpretation.
