Job PurposeIt is the role of the House Manager to oversee the daily running of our Ronald McDonald House, directly supporting the Deputy House Manager and House team to provide a safe and welcoming service to families. A House Manager provides value-based leadership, coaching, and forward thinking to support the Operations Manager and build positive business relationships with other House Managers, members of support departments, and build authentic community-based relationships to ensure trust in our Charity. Key ResponsibilitiesHaving full leadership of the House's daily operations, inspiring your team to deliver the best family experience possible. Holding key relationships with our partnered NHS Trusts, advocating for our families and being active in the Hospital’s patient experience journey.Effectively managing challenging situations. Treating others with dignity, considering other points of view and taking time to develop positive relationships. Encouraging others to express their views, adhering to the highest ethical standards, confronting prejudice and intolerant behaviour, honouring agreements and commitments to others. Setting and supporting the provision of correct establishment numbers/workforce planning creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive team. Establishing individual performance targets, ensuring performance reviews are conducted on time and communicated one-on-one. Identifying, nurturing and developing the House teams to ensure there is a talent pipeline of future leaders in place for the group and allowing everyone to thrive. Engaging with the House team and having a platform for listening to create a safe, respectful and inclusive working environment. Ensuring the implementation of training and development systems. Assisting Operations Management team by the collection and analysis of data as and when required and then supporting by recommending appropriate remedial action.
