The Opportunity
The Trust, based at a High School in Barton under Needwood, is part of a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT). They offer a dedicated training facility and work with over 60 local schools and MATs across East Staffordshire, South Derbyshire, and North Warwickshire, building strong relationships that enhance their trainees' employability.
As part of The Teaching School Hub, they provide excellent opportunities for ongoing professional development and a clear career pathway in education.
They are looking for passionate, motivated individuals eager to grow their knowledge and become the next generation of educators. If you're excited about working with young people and are committed to becoming a fully accredited teacher, they want to hear from you.
The Trust offers exceptional support throughout your training year. You'll have the opportunity to train in two different schools, guided by supportive mentors who will meet with you weekly. You'll also gain valuable experience in a special school or alternative provision provider and work with different age groups to broaden your experience.
Their weekly training sessions at the Training Centre are led by subject and phase specialists from the team, as well as experienced local school representatives. Secondary trainees benefit from subject-specific training with expert practitioners, while primary trainees enjoy a diverse programme delivered by specialists from local schools.
Collaboration with their partner schools is at the heart of the programme, ensuring trainees receive high-quality, relevant training that prepares them for success. Their partners are invested in your development because they want to recruit the best-trained educators for their schools.
The Trust welcomes trainees from all backgrounds: whether you're finishing your degree, completing a Masters, or looking for a career change. If you have an A-Level in the subject you want to teach or a degree in a different field, they'll support you in building the subject knowledge you need. It's never too late to start your teaching journey.
The Trust is committed to providing inclusive training, supporting trainees from all walks of life. They adhere to the Equality Act (2010), promoting diversity, equality of opportunity, and eliminating discrimination. They welcome applications from all individuals interested in training to teach.
