About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing Planning Enforcement Service, following a recent transformation that has expanded the team.
Responsibilities
* Investigate alleged breaches of planning control within the Borough.
* Take appropriate action to protect local amenities and provide confidence to residents.
* Conduct site inspections, interview members of the public, and liaise with landowners, occupiers, and Council colleagues.
* Assist with all stages of the investigation and enforcement process, from complaint receipt to case closure.
* Prepare and serve Planning Enforcement Notices and Enforcement Appeal documents.
* Support legal proceedings, including assisting in prosecution cases when required.
Qualifications
* Strong investigative and problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of planning legislation and enforcement processes.
* Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
* Ability to manage multiple cases effectively.
* Experience in planning enforcement or a related field is desirable.
