Finance Manager York | Full Time | £50,000 Benefits A growing Yorkshire-based SME is looking to appoint a commercially focused finance professional to support the next stage of its growth journey. This is a broad and visible role within a product-led business, offering the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership across finance, operations and commercial decision-making. The successful individual will play a key role in improving profitability visibility, strengthening reporting and providing proactive commercial insight across the business. The OpportunityThis newly created position has been introduced as the business continues to expand and requires stronger in-house commercial finance support. The role offers significant exposure across the organisation and would suit someone who enjoys working in a hands-on SME environment where they can genuinely influence performance and decision-making. Key Responsibilities Production of monthly management accounts Commercial analysis across pricing, margins and profitability Customer and product profitability reporting Business partnering with leadership and operational teams Supporting supplier analysis and pricing reviews Payroll oversight and finance administration support Providing recommendations to improve commercial performance Supporting operational and strategic projects Improving visibility around financial and operational performance About You Previous commercial finance or management accounting experience within an SME environment Strong analytical and Excel skills Confident working closely with stakeholders across the business Proactive, commercially curious and solutions-focused Comfortable operating in a hands-on role with broad responsibilities Experience within manufacturing, wholesale, distribution, ecommerce or product-led businesses would be highly advantageous ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualifications desirable but not essential What’s on Offer Salary circa £50,000 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Performance-related bonus potential Private healthcare Broad and varied role with genuine influence Strong visibility across the leadership team Opportunity to join a growing SME at an exciting stage of development This role would suit an ambitious commercial finance professional looking for a position where they can make a real impact within a growing and entrepreneurial business.
