Offer description

Were looking for a friendly and efficient receptionist to join our team within the Extended Primary Integrated Care Services (EPiC), supporting our Enhanced Access clinics in Salford.

Based at our GP Overflow Hub, the receptionist will play a key role in assisting clinicians, managing patient administration, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the building.

This is a 25-hour per week position, working Monday to Friday between 2:00 PM and 8:15 PM on a shift basis.


Main duties of the job

Main tasks will include keeping an eye on stock levels, helping clinicians with data entry, checking the service email inbox, answering phone calls, monitoring clinical systems, opening and closing the building, and supporting the wider team.

Salford Primary Care Together is a community interest company with all GP practices in Salford as its members. Our aim is to work with our members and other partners to ensure general practice is at the heart of joined up care in Salford.

The Extended Primary Integrated Care (EPiC) team is ran by Salford Primary Care Together to bring together primary and urgent care services through a central hub so that patients can be directed to the most appropriate level of care they require.


Job responsibilities

Receptionists within EPIC are responsible for the successful co-ordination and oversight of the serviceadministration within Salford Primary Care Togethers (SPCT) Extended Primary Care portfolio of services. Theservices provided include: GP Out of Hours, Locality Clinical Assessment Service (LCAS), ED Streaming and additionalservices.

The post holder is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the administrative systems that are pivotalto the daily running of these services. Tasks could include opening/closing of the building, monitoring stock levels, supporting clinicians with datainputting, monitoring of the service email inbox, responding to and collaborating to support requests, telephone callsto colleagues & patients and monitoring clinical systems to escalate issues where appropriate.

The role within EPIC provides support for planned and urgent care services as well as Primary Care Network Support.The team work together to ensure that tasks are carried out to the required deadlines; to support patient care andpopulation health across neighbourhoods in Salford. The team has to respond to changing circumstances and apositive and flexible approach is required including changing locations the post holder may need to work from atshort notice. The post holder organises their work and manages their time autonomously and effectively to ensurethat all tasks are completed within the required timescales. EPIC24 works under the direction of the Primary CareNetworks and in delivering Salford CCG Urgent Care contracts.


Person Specification


Qualifications

* A sound general education to GCSE level or equivalent
* Training or qualifications in administration and IT
* Full UK Driving Licence


Experience

* Experience of working in a healthcare setting
* Previous experience that demonstrates good attention to detail
* The ability to deal with personal information sensitively and respect people's right to confidentiality
* Good organisational and time management skills
* Ability to work under pressure
* Competent in the use of patient record management systems: Adastra & EMIS
