Our client based in Sittingbourne is seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Part‑Time Credit Controller to join their finance team on a fixed‑term basis to cover maternity leave. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and has a strong track record of managing accounts receivable, reducing aged debt and maintaining positive client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Proactively manage and chase outstanding invoices via phone and email.
* Maintain accurate records of all communications and payment activity.
* Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
* Produce aged debt reports and provide regular updates to management.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure timely payments.
* Work closely with internal teams to resolve billing issues.
* Assist with month‑end processes as required.
About You
* Previous experience in a credit control or accounts receivable role.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Confident using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
