Responsibilities
1. Ensure residents are at the heart of care delivery, respecting their wishes and preferences.
2. Supervise staff to ensure efficient service operation.
3. Promote and protect the welfare of individuals supported by the service.
4. Develop effective relationships with colleagues, residents, and their loved ones.
5. Act as a role model and seek personal and professional growth opportunities.
6. Maintain knowledge of Fundamental Standards and CQC requirements.
7. Follow all policies, procedures, and training requirements.
8. Involve residents, families, and external agencies in care planning and feedback.
9. Promote dignity, respect, and independence for all residents.
10. Strive for quality and continuous improvement in care services.
11. Show compassion and empathy in all interactions.
12. Assist residents with daily tasks following care plans, including bathing, eating, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
13. Supervise staff supporting residents with daily activities.
14. Dispense medication according to policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
* Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification.
* Level 3 Medication Management qualification.
* Previous experience in a similar environment.
* Good written and verbal English skills.
Skills
* Excellent communication and rapport-building skills.
* Problem-solving abilities to address and adapt to situations quickly.
* Ability to assist residents with daily tasks as per care plans.
