Overview
Air Conditioning Engineer role at DITL Group in Cambridge. £44,000 basic. This role focuses on delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance across multiple retail sites, with a strong emphasis on HVAC systems. A multi-skilled approach with solid mechanical and electrical (M&E) knowledge is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive maintenance and breakdowns across retail stores and distribution centres.
* Diagnose faults and perform repairs on a variety of air conditioning systems, including splits, VRFs, AHUs, DX systems, and occasional central plant equipment.
* Support system upgrades and retrofit projects, ensuring minimal disruption to retail operations.
* Provide accurate quotations for remedial works or system replacements following service visits.
* Maintain FGAS compliance records and update internal reporting systems.
* Collaborate effectively with site managers, subcontractors, and fellow engineers to ensure seamless service delivery.
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in HVAC maintenance and fault diagnosis across commercial environments.
* Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
* FGAS certification and familiarity with compliance documentation.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
