Job Title: SCCM Task Sequence Field Engineer
Experience Required: 3–5 years
Location: Plymouth, UK (travel is involved within UK)
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) Task Sequence Field Engineer to manage, deploy, troubleshoot, and optimize Windows Operating System Deployment (OSD) task sequences across client environments. This role involves field-level support including travel to sites and good technical expertise in SCCM client-side troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implement and troubleshoot in-place upgrade task sequences (e.g., Win10 to Win11).
* Work directly with local\ Microland IT teams to troubleshoot task sequence failures on endpoints.
* Perform BIOS/UEFI configuration and pre/post installation checklist.
* Conduct health checks and remediation of SCCM client components.
* Update issue logs.
* Coordinate with the Microland SCCM team for change control, testing, and deployment approvals.
* Monitor deployment progress via SCCM logs on endpoints
Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SCCM / MECM (OSD, Task Sequences).
* Experience with log analysis for troubleshooting.
* Ability to work independently at field/customer sites.
* Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Working Conditions:
* Travel to client locations based on deployment schedules.
* Flexible work hours during large deployment windows (off-hours occasionally).
