Job Description:
ABOUT THE ROLE As a Business Development Manager / Networker, you’ll be pivotal in growing the company’s client base and reinforcing its presence throughout the South. Your mission: Identify, engage, and nurture relationships with new prospects—especially landlords, property developers, workplaces, and corporate clients seeking transformations or fit-out services. Present tailored design & build solutions, conveying how they can enhance brand identity, employee wellbeing, functionality, and long-term value. Collaborate with internal teams (design consultants, project managers, workplace strategists) to ensure alignment from pitch through delivery. Maintain a robust pipeline—from initial contact, through proposal, to conversion. Represent the company at industry events, networking forums, and client meetings across the region. This position offers high flexibility—work primarily from home, with occasional visits to the Reading office as needed for meetings and collaboration. REQUIREMENTS
Proven experience in business development or client relationship roles, ideally within office fit-out, interior design, workplace consultancy, or professional services. Strong network across commercial property, landlord relations, or workspace decision-makers. Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to convey complex design and build value propositions intuitively. Comfortable managing the full sales cycle—from prospecting and meetings through to closed deals. Self-starter with strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently while staying aligned with the broader team. Based in or near Reading, with the flexibility to attend the office occasionally and meet clients in the region. REWARDS AND BENEFITS
Flexible working: predominantly remote, with on-site presence in Reading for key catch-ups and networking. Opportunity to engage with a varied portfolio—from workplace consultancy and relocations to office refurbishment, furniture schemes, and full design & build projects. Be part of a respected, design-led team with a loyalty-driven client base. A role with autonomy, full ownership of your territory, plus visibility of real impact on business growth.
