Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Emergency Department Registrar based in Coastal Ward Manjimup, WA. We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Emergency Department (ED) Registrar to join a busy regional hospital located on the stunning coast of Western Australia. This is a fantastic opportunity to build broad emergency skills in a hands-on, supportive environment with access to complex cases, procedural training, and excellent consultant supervision.
You will be a key member of a multidisciplinary team providing high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population, including trauma, rural and remote presentations, and Indigenous health.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide timely assessment, treatment, and management of emergency presentations.
* Perform emergency procedures such as airway management, trauma resuscitation, and point-of-care ultrasound under supervision.
* Liaise with consultants and inpatient teams for patient admission and referrals.
* Supervise and support junior medical staff and students.
* Participate in clinical teaching, simulation sessions, and department audits.
* Ensure documentation, communication, and discharge planning are completed to a high standard.

This regional hospital in Coastal Western Australia is a key referral centre serving urban, rural, and remote communities. The Emergency Department sees a high case-mix including trauma, mental health, paediatrics, and chronic disease.
The hospital is equipped with modern facilities including a helipad for RFDS transfers, and there are close links to tertiary centers in Perth for support and retrievals.
Qualifications
* General registration or eligible under the competent authority pathway with AHPRA
* At least 3 years post-graduate clinical experience, including time in emergency medicine.
* Sound clinical knowledge and decision-making skills in acute care settings.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
* Excellent communication and time-management skills.
