Job Description
My client, an independent school in East Sussex is now looking to recruit a full time School Business Manager. This is a significant post within the school, which carries with it responsibility for the non-teaching side, managing the day-to-day finance, administration, premises and HR requirements. Supported by a central team within the Trust and with the on-site assistance of a small support team, youll work closely with the Headteacher to ensure the best use of resources and ensure the school obligations are met. Responsibilities will include:
* Oversee the financial management of the school, including budget planning, monitoring, and reporting.
* Manage all aspects of the school's administrative and support functions, ensuring smooth operations on a day-to-day basis.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
* Lead and manage a team of administrative staff, providing guidance and support as required.
* Develop and implement efficient administrative systems and processes to enhance the effectiveness of the school's operations.
* Work closely with the leadership team to contribute to the strategic planning and decision-making processes.
* Collaborate with external stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and local authorities, to ensure effective procurement and contract management.
* Oversee the management of the school's premises and facilities.
