SALARY:£65,385– £79,915
LOCATION:Bristol
HOURS:Full-time, 35 hours per week
WORKING PATTERN:Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our Bristol office.
ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

Join our Customer Decisioning Lab as aSenior Technical Application Service Specialist, whereyou’lltake ownership of the resilience and reliability of our Pega Customer Decision Hub (CDH) platform. This is a senior role withsignificant influenceon strategy, engineering practices, and operational standards, ensuring our technology underpins exceptional customer experiences.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
In thisrole,you’ll:
1. Lead the design and development of advanced dashboardstomonitorapplication health, performance, and key business metrics, ensuring actionable insights for leadership teams.
2. Shape and embed Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principlesacross the platform, driving improvements in reliability, scalability, and incident response.
3. Champion automation initiativesfor monitoring, alerting, and reporting to enhance observability and reduce operational overhead.
4. Act as a trusted technical advisor, collaborating with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to influence strategic decisions and ensure platform stability.
5. Analyse complex performance trends, providing recommendations that inform capacity planning, disaster recovery strategies, and compliance adherence.
6. Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
7. Extensive experience in building and optimising dashboards using tools such as Pega, Grafana, Kibana, or similar.
8. Deep understanding of SRE principles, including reliability engineering, monitoring, and incident management at scale.
9. Advancedproficiencyin SQL and data visualisation techniques.
10. Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and influence cross-functional teams.
11. Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical insights into business value.
It would beadvantageousif you also bring:
12. Expertisein Pega CDH or similar decisioning platforms.
13. Experience in automation and scripting for monitoring and reporting.
14. Familiarity with cloud-based environments and modern DevOps practices.
