Investing in supply chain resilience.As a result, we are seeking to appoint a Senior Sourcing Specialist to help support the next phase of growth. This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping how McCloskey sources critical products and services across its global operations.Working closely with the Sourcing Manager and wider supply chain leadership team, you will take ownership of high value sourcing projects, lead commercial negotiations, identify and onboard new suppliers and help strengthen the resilience of the supply chain.You'll be joining at a particularly important time - production continues to increase and ew markets are being developed. The business is expanding its presence within recycling and environmental sectors while continuing to strengthen its position within the aggregates industry. Against this backdrop, sourcing has become a strategic priority.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence decisions, challenge existing processes and deliver meaningful commercial impact.Duties and ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Sourcing Manager, you will support a range of sourcing and supplier development activities across the business. Responsibilities will include:Leading strategic sourcing projects from identification through implementationDeveloping sourcing strategies based on spend analysis and supply market intelligenceIdentifying, evaluating and onboarding new suppliers locally and internationallyLeading commercial negotiations and contract discussions with suppliersDelivering cost containment and cost avoidance initiativesSupporting supplier risk management and supply chain resilience programmesLeveraging organisational buying power to improve commercial outcomesManaging multiple sourcing and contracting projects simultaneouslyWorking closely with engineering, manufacturing and operational stakeholdersSupporting supplier performance improvement and ongoing supplier developmentContributing to wider sourcing initiatives across the Metso and MPP Group networkVisiting suppliers and supplier sites as requiredWe're searching for:An experienced sourcing professional who combines commercial awareness with strong negotiation capability and a genuine interest in solving complex supply chain challenges. You will ideally have:At least five years' experience within a senior sourcing, procurement or category management roleStrong knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier management and strategic procurement processesA proven track record delivering cost avoidance projectsExperience leading supplier negotiations and managing commercial discussionsStrong stakeholder management and influencing skillsExcellent planning, organisational and project management capabilityExperience working within manufacturing, engineering or a similarly complex environment is advantageous but not essentialProficiency across Microsoft Office and ERP systemsWhy McCloskey?With a strong track record of internal development and progression, members of the current leadership team have progressed through the organisation from sourcing and procurement roles into senior leadership positions.
