Duties
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation and cooking are carried out efficiently and safely.
* Create and develop innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
* Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
* Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation to ensure consistency.
* Handle any customer feedback or complaints professionally to enhance the dining experience.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
* Strong culinary skills with a passion for cooking and food preparation.
* Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen management.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
