Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Housing Officer/Specialist Housing Partner to join our team in Bradford on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality housing management services to local residents, supporting people to sustain their homes and improve their quality of life. You will serve as the primary contact for a specific area or estate, ensuring the environment is well-maintained. This role requires in-depth knowledge of housing legislation and experience working closely with the public.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Housing Officer, Tenancy Manager, Housing Partner, or similar role is essential.
* Knowledge of housing legislation, policies, and procedures.
* Experience handling complex casework both in person and in writing.
* Experience with multi-agency approaches to Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) management.
* Ability to provide good tenancy, housing, and leasehold advice, with knowledge of best practices and compliance procedures.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and accessibly.
* Good organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload efficiently, and meet deadlines.
* UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
* Experience managing all aspects of housing management, including ASB, arrears, tenancy reviews, account management, and tenant sign-ups.
* Ability to be the first point of contact for tenants, maintaining a visible presence and providing high-quality support and services.
* Manage and report on building safety and compliance.
* Provide responsive and effective service to tenants.
* Lead housing management tasks, including managing ASB and arrears.
* Maintain accurate records, including Health and Wellbeing plans and building compliance records.
* Collaborate with commissioners, care providers, and other partners to meet tenant needs.
* Manage voids and ensure swift tenant move-ins.
* Foster strong relationships with Local Authority partners and ensure contractual obligations are met.
* Support residents in accessing benefits and financial inclusion services.
