Financial Controller

A growing manufacturing business, part of a successful group of companies, is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead its finance function and support strategic, commercial, and operational performance. This is a high‑impact role suited to a hands‑on, commercially focused finance leader who thrives in an SME environment.
Key Responsibilities
Produce accurate monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
Drive commercial performance through pricing support, margin analysis, and cost control.
Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial stability.
Lead financial reporting, KPIs, dashboards, and board‑level insights.
Oversee statutory accounts, audits, compliance, and internal controls.
Support investment decisions, business cases, and operational improvements.
Lead, mentor, and develop a small finance team.
About You
Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA).
Strong management accounting background, ideally in manufacturing or an operational environment.
Experience in a senior finance leadership role
Commercially astute with proven experience improving margins and supporting pricing decisions.
Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
Skilled in financial modelling and advanced Excel.
ERP systems experience beneficial.
