Team Manager - Social Worker (Qualified)
Essential Requirements
* Qualified Social Worker (Degree/DipSW/CQSW or equivalent)
* Registered with Social Work England
* Significant experience in Children's Social Care
* Experience in supervision and/or management
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding and statutory frameworks

Purpose of the Role
To provide operational leadership and management within Children's Social Care, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective services to children, young people, and families. The Team Manager will oversee a team of social workers, ensuring compliance with statutory duties and promoting positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Leadership & Management
o Lead, manage, and supervise a team of qualified social workers
o Provide reflective supervision, guidance, and performance management
o Ensure staff adhere to policies, procedures, and statutory requirements
o Support staff development, training, and continuous improvement
* Service Delivery
o Oversee caseload allocation and workload management
o Ensure timely and high-quality assessments, care planning, and interventions
o Monitor performance against KPIs and service standards
o Drive improvement in practice and service delivery
* Safeguarding & Compliance
o Ensure all safeguarding responsibilities are met
o Oversee complex and high-risk cases
o Ensure compliance with legislation, frameworks, and inspection standards (e.g. Ofsted)
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records
* Multi‑Agency Working
o Work collaboratively with health services, education providers, police and safeguarding partners
o Represent the service in strategy meetings, case conferences, and reviews
* Quality Assurance
o Audit casework and provide feedback
o Ensure best practice and continuous improvement
o Contribute to inspections and service evaluations
