Compensation: £26,661 – £48,160 per year
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and effective teaching across Multi‑Skills programmes in line with curriculum and awarding body requirements
* Contribute to curriculum planning, design, and ongoing development to ensure courses remain relevant and innovative
* Prepare schemes of work, assessments, and learning materials that promote achievement and progression
* Maintain accurate academic and administrative records, ensuring compliance with college quality standards
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* A degree and/or relevant professional qualification in Construction or a related trade
* A Certificate in Education or Level 5 Teaching Qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
* TAQA/D32/33/A1 qualification (or willingness to achieve)
* Experience of delivering high‑quality teaching and learning in a Construction or Multi‑Skills setting
* Knowledge of key skills or functional skills within a vocational context
* Experience of preparing and evaluating learning materials and delivering accredited qualifications
* Experience of internal verification and moderation
Teaching Qualifications & Salary Banding
To be eligible for our Qualified Lecturer salary banding (£31,837 – £48,160), you must hold one of the following teaching qualifications:
* DTTLS (Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
* Certificate in Education
* PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
* DET (Diploma in Education and Training)
* DiT (Diploma in Teaching) – if for a vocational subject
Otherwise you will fall into our Unqualified Lecturer salary banding (£26,661 – £29,998).
