The Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner is seeking an experienced, innovative communications professional to Deputise for the Chief Communications & Insight Officer and lead on planning, reputational risk management and engagement and consultation.
The role holder will oversee the Communications and Engagement team and provide strategic communications advice to support the PCC’s statutory responsibilities for Victims of Crime and community Safety.
The role is based in Lewes in Sussex with flexible working, including three days in the office and two working from home. Hours are 37 hours per week with some requirements to work additional hours in response to media/operational demands.
Skills & Experience
Post Holder will provide senior communications leadership to support constitutional, governance on organisational change including the transition of the PCC’s office into the planned mayor’s office in 2028, ensuring clear messaging, public understanding and stakeholder confidence.
