We are currently recruiting Bank Complex Child Support Workers to join our team, delivering compassionate, specialist care to children with complex health needs and behavioural challenges.About the RoleAs a Bank Complex Child Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to children with a variety of complex needs-including autism, ADHD, physical and sensory impairments, and learning disabilities. This is a flexible, bank position offering the opportunity to work shifts that suit your lifestyle, including evenings, weekends, and school holidays.You'll work closely with families, health professionals, and schools to create a nurturing and safe environment, while supporting the child's health, development, and emotional wellbeing.Key Responsibilities
* Deliver direct care aligned with each child's personalised care plan.
* Assist with personal care, medication, feeding, and mobility needs.
* Support behaviours of concern using Positive Behaviour Support techniques.
* Facilitate meaningful home-based activities and community engagement.
* Work collaboratively with families and professionals to ensure continuity of care.
* Maintain accurate records and communicate any concerns effectively.
* Support clinical needs including epilepsy, anaphylaxis, suctioning, and PEG feeding (training provided).
* Respond to emergencies in a calm, professional manner.
Previous experience supporting children with complex needs.
* Relevant health and social care qualifications (or willingness to work towards the Care Certificate).
* Excellent communication skills and IT literacy.
* Compassion, resilience, and the ability to work independently.
* Willingness to travel within Surrey.
* Enhanced DBS check (we will arrange this).
Desirable:
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care.
* Experience with Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
* Clinical skills (PEG feeding, EpiPen, epilepsy rescue medication).
* A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (business insurance desirable).
£15.00 per hour
