Engineering Purchasing & Stock Controller Eye, Suffolk Monday to Friday £30,390 Are you highly organised, detail-focused and confident managing stock, suppliers and systems in a fast-paced environment? At C&K Meats, we’re looking for an Engineering Purchasing & Stock Controller to take ownership of stock, purchasing and systems within our engineering function, playing a key role in keeping our operations running efficiently. The role: This is a hands-on, varied role where you’ll act as the central point of control for engineering stock and purchasing. You’ll work closely with engineers and suppliers to ensure the right parts are available at the right time, costs are controlled, and systems are accurate and up to date. You’ll also play an important role in budget tracking, reporting and compliance, helping the engineering team operate efficiently and cost-effectively. Key Responsibilities will include: Take full ownership of engineering stock control and purchasing activities Raise and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery Act as the primary contact for suppliers and vendors Manage and maintain engineering stock systems and databases Monitor stock levels and work with engineers to set reorder points and stock thresholds Control and manage the Pirana system Support engineering budget tracking, including weekly reporting on forecast vs actual spend Raise and manage maintenance contracts and external service payments Assist with audits, compliance checks and documentation Investigate issues proactively and ensure timely resolution and follow-up Ensure all purchasing activity is cost-effective and adds value to the business What we are looking for: Experience in a stock control, purchasing or administrative role (ideally within manufacturing or engineering) Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Confident communicator, comfortable working with suppliers and internal teams Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (especially Excel) Experience with stock management or engineering systems (EMS) is advantageous A proactive mind-set with the ability to identify and solve problems early Calm and effective when working under pressure What we can offer: £30,390 salary 28 days’ holiday (including bank holidays), plus option to buy up to 5 extra days Access to GroceryAid – providing emotional, financial and practical support Colleague discounts and benefits platform A supportive team within a growing, well-established food business Why Join Us?
