We are currently working with several long-standing SEMH schools to find experienced Teachers and Instructors who are passionate about supporting students with complex emotional and behavioural needs. Our schools cater to both primary and secondary-age pupils, and our aim is to provide a nurturing, structured, and supportive environment where every child can thrive.The RoleWe are seeking qualified Teachers and experienced Instructors with a strong background in SEMH settings to join our trusted partner schools.

These schools have a proven track record of providing high-quality education to students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. As a Teacher or Instructor, you will be at the forefront of delivering engaging, therapeutic, and adaptive learning experiences that cater to each student's individual emotional and academic needs.Key Responsibilities:Planning & Teaching: Deliver engaging lessons that are tailored to the needs of each child, using differentiated strategies to ensure all students can access the curriculum.Emotional & Behavioural Support: Create a positive and structured classroom environment that encourages emotional regulation and effective behavioural management.Individualized Learning: Adapt teaching methods to support students with varying levels of ability and emotional complexity.Collaboration: Work closely with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and other professionals to implement IEPs and behaviour management strategies.Assessment & Feedback: Track student progress and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement and support in both academic and emotional development.Qualifications & Experience Required:Qualified Teachers (QTS) or Equivalent: A recognized teaching qualification is essential.Experience in SEMH: Significant experience working with children who have social, emotional, and mental health challenges is highly desirable.Specialist Knowledge: A strong understanding of SEMH and its impact on learning, behaviour, and social development.Adaptability: Ability to tailor your teaching to meet the individual needs of students, often using creative and therapeutic methods.Classroom Management Skills: Strong classroom management skills, with a focus on fostering a safe and productive learning environment.Professionalism & Communication: Excellent communication skills, both with students and colleagues, to create a cohesive and supportive educational environment.Personality Traits & Skills Needed:Patience & Empathy: You must have the ability to build trust with students who may face significant emotional or behavioural challenges.Resilience: Working with SEMH students can be demanding, and resilience is essential for maintaining a positive and focused attitude in the classroom.Creative Problem-Solving: The ability to adapt your teaching methods to meet the needs of students and to handle complex situations with creativity and patience.Commitment to Positive Change: A genuine passion for helping vulnerable children overcome obstacles and achieve their potential.Why Work with Aspire Education?Long-Standing Relationships with Trusted Schools: Work with a select group of long-term, established SEMH schools where you can make a lasting differenceCompetitive Salary & Benefits: We offer attractive pay rates and ongoing professional development opportunitiesComprehensive Support: Receive regular support and guidance from a dedicated consultant to help you succeed in your roleFlexible Opportunities: Both full-time and part-time roles are available to suit your availability and needsImpactful Work: This is a unique opportunity to truly transform lives, helping students with SEMH needs to grow emotionally, socially, and academically.If you're an experienced Teacher or Instructor who is passionate about working with SEMH students and wants to make a meaningful impact in a supportive environment, we'd love to hear from you.
