Job Title: Attendance Officer Location: Warwickshire, Alcester (B49) Contract type: Permanent, Full time, temp-to-perm Start date: ASAP Salary: £(Apply online only) per day, dependent upon experience The team at Teaching Personnel are working in collaboration with a lovely village school in B49 to appoint an attendance officer to commence the role ASAP. You will need to be organised, self motivated and highly reliable. As the Attendance Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring daily attendance, following up on absences, maintaining accurate records, and working closely with students, families, and external agencies to address attendance concerns. You’ll play a key role in identifying patterns, offering early intervention, and helping to remove barriers to attendance. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and track daily attendance, identifying patterns and cause for concern. - Raising any concerns with regards to attendance, in a prompt manner. - Follow up absences with families and carers via phone calls, home visits and meetings. - Work closely with pastoral staff and teaching staff to address attendance issues. - Promote a culture of high attendance and punctuality throughout the school. - Maintaining accurate attendance data and produce reports for leadership and external bodies. Requirements: - Strong organisational and administrative skills. - Ability to manage own workload. - Previous experience in a school or similar environment is highly desirable. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with students, parents and staff. - A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
