Support Worker - Residential Youth & Family Program
Pay: $43.23 - $48.32 per hour + super (inclusive of casual loading)

Tradewind Australia is partnering with a well-established community organisation to recruit experienced Support Workers for a residential program supporting young parents and their children.
This is a flexible casual opportunity, ideal for those looking to pick up sleepover shifts or additional work alongside an existing role.
About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will work within a residential setting supporting young parents (aged 13-18) and their children to build independence, develop parenting and life skills, and work towards their individual goals.
This is a hands-on role, providing a mix of practical, emotional and behavioural support, working alongside case managers to create a safe, structured and therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Support daily routines including cooking, cleaning, shopping and parenting tasks
* Assist young parents to build independent living and parenting skills
* Follow guidance from case managers to support individual case plans
* Maintain a safe, consistent and therapeutic residential environment
* Respond to incidents and escalate risks, including child protection concerns
* Complete accurate and timely case notes and documentation
* Work collaboratively with team members across the program
What You'll Bring
Essential
* Cert IV or above in youth work / mental health / community services or related industry/sector
* Experience working with young people, families or individuals with complex needs
* Understanding of child development and child protection
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage behaviours and respond to challenging situations
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Compliance Requirements
* Working With Children Check
* Driver's Licence
* Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Ability to work flexible hours, including sleepover shifts
