We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Home Manager to join our team at Lukestone, a fully occupied 42-bedded Dementia Nursing Home. This role combines both clinical and managerial responsibilities, ensuring the highest standards of care and effective leadership within the home.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Home Manager to support day-to-day operations while also acting as the Nurse in Charge for 22 hours per week, delivering hands-on clinical leadership.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Home Manager to support day-to-day operations while also acting as the Nurse in Charge for 22 hours per week, delivering hands-on clinical leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Home Manager in the overall running and management of the home.
* Lead, motivate, and develop the care and nursing team to maintain high standards of care.
* Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, NMC standards, and internal policies.
* Provide clinical leadership, acting as Nurse in Charge during allocated shifts.
* Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and audits.
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation and care records.
* Support with staff recruitment, induction, supervision, and ongoing training.
* Foster a safe, caring, and positive environment for residents, relatives, and staff.
* Act as a role model for best practice in dementia and nursing care.
* Deputise for the Home Manager in their absence.
Requirements:
* NMC Registered General Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) active and in good standing.
* Previous experience working as a Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead, or Senior Nurse within a dementia nursing home.
* Strong leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
* In-depth understanding of dementia care and safeguarding practices.
* Ability to manage clinical and operational responsibilities effectively.
* Excellent communication and team management skills.
* Commitment to delivering compassionate, person-centred care.
