Summary
Role: Deputy Support Manager, reporting to the Support Manager. Lead and mentor teams to deliver person-centered support that meets regulatory, contractual, and organisational requirements. Act as a role model of best practice and deputise for the Support Manager when needed.
Responsibilities
* Mentor teams, coach support staff, and drive continuous improvement.
* Develop practice leadership and ensure it is recognised and reflected in daily work.
* Work on shift as part of the rota and model best practice.
* Assist with designing support plans, rota management, maintaining records, addressing concerns, and conducting audits.
* Deputise for the Support Manager when required.
* Empower individuals, promote inclusion, rights and independence, and adhere to company policies.

Skills & Experience
* Relevant Health and Social Care qualification at Level 3 or above (England) or SCQF 7 or above (Scotland).
* Proven experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
* Leadership or coaching experience is desirable.
* Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and care regulations.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
* Confidence in using digital systems (e.g., Excel, care planning software).
* Flexible working hours, willingness to travel locally and work across multiple locations.
