The Opportunity We are now recruiting for a Technical Bid Engineer to be based at either our Adlington or Sunderland office. The Technical Bid Engineer is responsible for two key focus areas: 1) To assist the sales teams in targeting key opportunities, identifying technical and commercial solutions, and fronting the technical selling function which in turn will generate both accurate scheme details and accurate solution definition. 2) Supporting the bids team in proposal management activities and supplying the technical content for bids to ensure that the accurate scheme details and accurate solution definition achieved in key focus area 1 is executed through the bidding stage to a very high standard and increasing our win ratio. You’ll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence. Key Responsibilities Accountable for technical responses of all opportunities that come into the business, review, prioritise and action with the correct level of effort that meets both the customer requirements and is in-line with the company strategy Produce the technical write-up and man hour requirements for all study/design opportunities. Work closely with the different, internal departments to ensure that the opportunity is understood, the level of effort is agreed and that the correct level of information is collated to enable the completion of award-winning proposals Presentation preparation and attendance to customer meetings. Attend customer visits to support the sales team on all technical aspects of the opportunity More responsibilities can be found in the Role Profile.
