Overview

Learning & Talent Development Specialist. The Learning & Talent Development Specialist will specialize in creating professional development programs while driving learning analytics and impact measurement to deliver performance improvement. This role helps ensure training meets the needs of each business unit and the organization for continuous improvement and supports measuring the business value of T&D.


Responsibilities

* Be proficient in department training responsibilities and assist with those responsibilities, providing guidance and direction. Manage and maintain training initiatives, scheduling, metrics, LMS management, and training compliance with regulatory bodies.
* Instruction/Facilitation: facilitate on-site and online training programs (vendor, developmental, and other trainings) based on needs/requests; train personnel at all levels; adapt instructional style to learners\' needs; coach and provide feedback.
* Instructional Design/Training Creation: collaborate with departmental SMEs to develop course content, presentations, job aids, micro-learnings, assessments, and other instructional materials including e-learning; stay aware of trends and technologies in training; design courses using interactive authoring tools and align with long-range training goals; apply instructional design principles to improve outcomes.
* Talent Development and Performance Improvement: design and implement development pathways for high-potential individuals, emerging leaders, first-time managers, and mid-level leaders; develop soft skills and career development programs; facilitate workshops and blended/online sessions; align development with succession planning and competency frameworks; lead talent development projects and conduct needs assessments to identify root causes; implement performance improvement plans using performance support tools.
* Learning Analytics and Impact Measurement: build and manage metrics, dashboards, and reports; apply learning evaluation models to measure programs at multiple levels; translate data into actionable insights tied to KPIs; continuously improve programs based on feedback and data; support long-range training strategy and conduct needs analyses to identify gaps.
* Collaboration and Strategy: partner with business leaders to identify priorities; align T&D initiatives with company strategy and performance objectives; act as an internal consultant on leadership development, learning experience design, and measurement.


Minimum Requirements

Experience designing and delivering professional development programs; strong analytics skills including data visualization; familiarity with learning evaluation models and adult learning principles; skilled facilitator with excellent communication and influencing abilities; knowledge of L&D competency frameworks and succession planning; ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on program delivery and reporting; strong organization skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks/projects; attention to detail with excellent communication skills; problem-solving and project management skills; proficiency in MS Office and training authoring tools; knowledge of Quality System regulations and policy requirements; openness to training technologies; ability to work with minimal supervision.


Education and Experience

Minimum of 5 years of proven work experience in a training specialist, instructional designer, data analytics or L&D consultation role. A bachelor’s degree is required; 3–5 years in an FDA-regulated industry is preferred. Working knowledge of databases, e-learning platforms, and LMS experience is required. Knowledge of regulatory environment and business/operations knowledge is preferred. CPTD, APTD, or SHRM certification is preferred. Demonstrated ability to anticipate problems, apply adult learning principles in various environments, and measure training effectiveness.
