Job Title: Registered Mental Health Nurse
The post holder will support patients presenting with mental health needs on a shift-to-shift basis, supporting the implementation and engagement of care plans to ensure the delivery of high-quality and safe care.
You will use your specialist knowledge and skills to identify and detail deterioration, improvements, and fluctuations in patients' mental health and escalate to relevant teams when there are significant risks.
You will assist in managing clinical emergencies under the direction of the nurse in charge.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working alongside and providing care to patients with physical needs.
You will administer medication in accordance with local protocols and the NMC Scope of Professional Practice.
You will ensure that patients in mental health crisis requiring admission are reviewed, and appropriate risk assessments are completed.
You will provide therapeutic 1:1 nursing care to patients with mental health issues.
Candidate Requirements
* Registered Mental Health Nurse qualification.
* Experience in A&E is desirable but not essential.
* Enthusiastic, confident, and self-motivated with excellent communication skills.
* Ability to handle challenging situations effectively.
