We are seeking an experienced Lead Civil & Structural Engineer to support the delivery of a major project within a highly regulated sector. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing civil and structural engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring technical excellence, safety, quality, and compliance with industry standards and client requirements
Key Responsibilitie
* sLead the delivery of civil and structural engineering design packages from concept through to detailed design and construction support
* .Provide technical leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary engineering teams
* .Review and approve engineering calculations, specifications, reports, drawings, and design documentation
* .Ensure designs comply with relevant legislation, codes, standards, and project requirements
* .Coordinate interfaces with other engineering disciplines, project management teams, and external stakeholders
* .Manage technical risks, design changes, and engineering queries throughout project execution
* .Support design reviews, constructability assessments, and value engineering initiatives
* .Mentor and develop junior engineers while promoting engineering best practice
* .Contribute to project planning, resource management, and programme delivery
* .Ensure a strong focus on safety, quality, and regulatory compliance within a highly regulated environment
Requirement
* sDegree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
* .Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards chartership
* .Significant experience delivering complex civil and structural engineering projects within highly regulated industries such as nuclear, defence, energy, pharmaceuticals, or similar sectors
* .Strong understanding of UK design standards, Eurocodes, and engineering governance processes
* .Experience leading engineering teams and coordinating multidisciplinary design activities
* .Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* .Ability to obtain and maintain Security Clearance (SC)
