Starting salary: £32,000, rising to £37,000 by end of year 2

Location
: West Yorkshire with requirement for flexible travel across Yorkshire & Humber.
Work type:
37 hours per week between a working window of 8:00am-6:00pm Monday – Friday

Your Graduate Programme

Your Team
Engineering is a fundamental, enabling function residing at the heart of the way we manage our operational assets to deliver excellent customer service and protect the environment for the benefit of the people who live within and visitor Yorkshire. With expertise spanning Process, Chemical Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation we support every aspect of the asset lifecycle - from concept through to decommissioning – by creating and managing assets that can last more than 100 years and so, no two days can ever the same.
Our Electrical Engineering team, provides the electrical engineer expertise to provide safe electrical systems and support the business 's aspirations for net zero carbon by 2030 and underpins excellent customer service and protects the environment via improved power supply resilience. Through our pursuit of modernisation the team forms a centre of excellence for the promotion and development of zero carbon initriatives, power supply resilience and power system safety and reliability initiates.
As a member of the Electrical Engineering Team you could be:-
Involved with the company wide Electrical Safety Improvement Projects.
Providing operational and technical support on electrical systems at voltages upto 11,000V.
Developing standards and policies to achieve the company's aspirations for "A thriving Yorkshire right for customers, right for the environment" via the adopt of a mixture of established and emerging technology.
Supporting, and where applicable instigating, projects to support the companies target for net zero, improved power resilience and safety.
Providing technical support and advice to new construction projects throughout the company to ensure the maximum value utilise the most suitably products within the market place.
Ensuring all persons working on Electrical Systems are suitably trained and experienced.
Your Role
As a Graduate Electrical Engineer you will:
Investigate and understand the root cause of asset failure
Identify and promote opportunities for targeted capital investment
Identify safety / environmental hazards and support the engineering design processes to design and develop robust control systems that keep customers & colleagues safe and protect the environment
Design and implement asset improvements that enhance asset security, resilience, performance and reduce operating costs
Assist in the renewal, improvement and expansion of complex control systems
Develop and trial Reliability Centred Maintenance that prolongs the life of Electrical assets
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 2:1 Bachelors degree in a Power or Electrical & Electronic Engineering discipline
Enthusiasm and a drive to succeed
UK Driving License and access to own vehicle
