Principal Planning Officer - Compliance and Enforcement
Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council are seeking an enthusiastic, positive, and proactive person, with a real customer focus, to work at a senior level within our Compliance and Enforcement Team
The main purpose of the role is to support the delivery of an effective compliance and enforcement service covering all unauthorised developments relating to the Planning Acts and to ensure that development is carried out in accordance with approved plans. This will require the co-ordinating and managing of investigations into reported breaches of planning control as well as the ability to manage planning applications and appeal work arising from enforcement action.
The successful candidate will have expertise and experience in town planning and planning enforcement and be well organised with good communication and negotiation skills. With the ability to apply their experience and motivate others, the post holder will also be responsible for the day-to-day management and supervision of a small team of Officers.
