Job Description Registered Children's Home Manager Salary: Up to £65,000 (Including Bonus Earning Potential) Full-Time, Monday-Friday Our client, a children’s residential service, is dedicated to supporting a small number of young people with complex emotions and behaviours that challenge. They are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead their home, ensuring a safe, stable, and supportive environment where children can thrive. This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and skilled leader to manage a home that truly makes a difference. As the Registered Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, ensuring compliance with OFSTED regulations, and maintaining high standards of care. You will lead a dedicated team to provide a supportive and therapeutic setting that empowers young people to reach their full potential. What We’re Looking For Relevant Qualification – Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Residential Childcare) – Essential. Proven Experience – At least 2 years’ experience managing an OFSTED-registered home with a GOOD or better rating. Specialist Knowledge – Strong understanding of emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and experience supporting children with challenging behaviours. Legislative Expertise – In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, including the Children’s Act 1989 & 2004. Driving Licence – A full UK driving licence is required. Regulatory Adherence – Ensure compliance with The Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Quality Standards 2015, and other relevant legislation. Champion Child-Centred Care – Provide a child-focused approach that prioritises safety, well-being, and positive outcomes. Develop & Support Staff – Supervise, mentor, and develop a team to deliver high-quality care and professional growth. Manage Budgets & Operations – Oversee policies, procedures, and financial resources for smooth service delivery. Engage with Stakeholders – Work collaboratively with external professionals, families, and regulatory bodies to ensure the best outcomes for young people. Reference: WILL120193/JG INDACC
