That means we need the right kind of people on our team.
We help people live their best lives. We help them with the big stuff, for the moments that matter: Pensions, Savings, Investments. At Aegon, we strive in creating a diverse organisation that plays a meaningful role in driving greater equity, inclusion and belonging.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Conduct Risk Manager to join our Regulatory Risk Department. Reporting to the Senior Conduct Risk Manager, the role will play a vital role in delivering initiatives designed to transform and elevate the delivery of good customer outcomes in Aegon.

This includes providing support and challenge on regulatory change projects, working across the Risk function on governance and controls and supporting the strategic direction of the business. The role could also involve Compliance Monitoring and assurance activities. The Conduct Risk Manager also brings our regulatory responsibilities to life for colleagues, role modelling our purpose and behaviours across Risk and the wider business.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
Detailed knowledge of the UK financial regulatory environment, particularly the conduct requirements of the FCA.
Worked in a Risk function to develop the depth of knowledge and skillset in the second line by building effective relationships and contributing to shared priorities.
Acted as a subject matter expert on regulatory risk and conduct queries from across the business, focusing on good customer outcomes and helping develop colleague knowledge and awareness and/or have experience in undertaking compliance monitoring reviews.
An understanding of risk methodology, for example: risk identification, assessment and mitigation methodology, regulatory risk appetite and risk tolerances.
Life and Pensions industry and product knowledge.
It’d also be great, but not essential, if you’ve got:
Can evidence an ability to provide constructive challenge and influence others.
Strong team player skills and can show commitment to achieving own and team goals, develop yourself and others, whilst supporting a wider team and department on key priorities.
An ability to deal with complex and multiple pieces of work through effective prioritisation, time management, organisation and, where required, escalation.
What’s in it for you?
