Overview
MTA (Systems) are a family run SSAIB accredited Electronic Security Company with 35 years experience in the security industry. We specialise in the Installation, Maintenance & Remote Monitoring of Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms, CCTV Systems and Access Control Systems to Commercial, Domestic, Public and Private clients.
Our long term success depends on the friendly / familiar face of our Engineers for our customers and their ability to talk with and help our customers, rather than just attending the relevant sites, doing the works and then leaving the site.
We are looking for a Trainee (or Qualified) Engineer to join our team to work on the Security Systems noted above.
Skills & Experience
It would be ideal for applicants to have some knowledge of Intruder & Fire Alarms, CCTV and Access Control Systems, however training will be given on all of the different systems, so even a general understanding of Security Systems would be acceptable.
* Intruder Alarms: HKC, Aritech / UTC, Scantronic, Texecom
* Fire Alarms: Advanced, HAES, C-TEC, Kentec (Conventional & Addressable)
* CCTV Systems: Hikvision, CCTV Direct, Dahua
* Access Control Systems: Paxton, Videx
Responsibilities
* High standard of customer service – answering customer queries and resolving concerns.
* Organisational skills – preparing for installations/servicing by gathering equipment, supplies & tools and coordinating schedules with customers.
* Upon completion of work verify the system is fully functioning by testing equipment, connections and signals to identify and correct any problems.
* Maintain a safe and secure work environment by adhering to safe practices and keeping security information confidential.
Your Needs
* Hold a full Driving Licence, valid to drive in the UK.
* Be able to pass an enhanced CRB check.
Job Details
* Working Hours: Mon to Fri 09:00 – 17:00 hours, plus "On Call" rota.
* Holidays: 21 days PLUS Public Bank Holidays.
* Company vehicle for work use and mobile phone allowance.
* Wage dependent on experience.
