East Suffolk Council - Climate Change and Sustainability Apprentice
* Location: East Suffolk House, Melton (IP12 1RT), with some home working
* Salary: Year 1 - £16,340 per annum, Year 2 - £22,070 per annum (NLW)
* Hours: 37 hours per week
* Contract: 21-month training contract
* Start date: 15th September 2025

Role Overview
Join our Climate Change & Sustainability team to support projects aligned with East Suffolk Council's Environmental Impact Strategy. Responsibilities include working on initiatives to reduce greenhouse gases, resource efficiency, sustainable transport, and habitat creation. You will engage in practical projects, support decarbonisation efforts, and participate in community engagement and policy discussions.
Candidate Requirements
Applicants should possess excellent interpersonal skills, an aptitude for ICT, and ideally have at least 4 GCSEs at Grades 4-9 or Grade C and above, including English. No prior experience is needed as full training will be provided. A passion for sustainability and a professional attitude are essential.
