Senior Process Engineer - Chemicals Manufacturing - Staffordshire - £50-60k + benefits
We’re recruiting on behalf of a global specialty chemicals manufacturer seeking a Senior Process Engineer to support their team. This role offers work across operations support, capital projects, and process safety. Long term, you'll have the opportunity to progress into senior site leadership via succession planning.
The Role
*
Provide day-to-day process and operations support, troubleshooting plant issues
*
Lead and deliver capital projects from concept through to commissioning
*
Play a key role in process safety and COMAH compliance, including HAZOPs and MoC
*
Drive process improvements, cost reduction, and inherently safer design
*
Mentor and develop junior engineers and set engineering best practice
About You
*
Degree in Chemical Engineering
*
Experience in COMAH or high-hazard manufacturing environments
*
Strong understanding of process safety and UK engineering standards
*
Confident working across operations, engineering, and projects
