Job Summary
Are you a Science Graduate or a qualified Pharmacy Technician looking for a new challenge in a friendly department? We have an exciting opportunity for two Radiopharmacy Technicians to join our expanding radiopharmacy team. The role involves the production of radiopharmaceuticals under an MHRA Specials Licence and assisting with the coordination of clinical trials.
Key Responsibilities
* Take part in the preparation of radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes – starting at 6:00am on a rotational basis.
* Communicate effectively with radiopharmacy staff, Quality Control (QC), Regional Quality Control Laboratory (RQCL), external customers and contractors.
* Assist in the coordination of clinical trials.
* Develop own skills and knowledge and contribute to the development of others.
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualified Pharmacy Technician or Science Graduate.
* Experience of working in a team.
* IT experience with spreadsheets and databases.
* Desirable: training in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and experience in radiopharmacy or aseptic dispensing.
* Desirable: at least 2 years GMP experience, product release experience and good knowledge of aseptic processes.
Skills & Abilities
* Good communication (written and verbal) and fluent English.
* Good numeracy, literacy and practical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Excellent IT skills.
Contract & Compensation
Permanent, full‑time, Band 4 with a pro‑rated salary of £27,485 to £37,796 per year. The role requires a 6:00am start on production days and a 7:00‑7:15am start on non‑production days, with weekend and late shifts as required.
