Payroll Advisor Part-time – 25 hours (flexible)

As a People Operations Payroll Advisor, you will work as part of a fun and dynamic team to provide comprehensive payroll services via an in-house system, meeting contractual and statutory obligations. You will serve as the main contact for employees, providing advice and guidance on remuneration and benefits, and liaising with external bodies as necessary.
Responsibilities
1. Run end-to-end payroll, including submitting FPS and EPS to HMRC.
2. Capture, validate, and process employee data to ensure effective administration and timely remuneration.
3. Analyze and validate input documentation before processing; reconcile outputs including salary advances, overtime, and other payments.
4. Update and maintain HR/payroll database daily, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GDPR.
5. Handle queries from employees and external bodies such as HMRC, DSS, and banks.
6. Prepare PAYE/NI payments and process international payrolls, submitting periodic returns as required.
7. Manage pension data uploads and assist with employee lifecycle tasks like letter writing and recruitment support.
Skills Required
* Experience with payroll software.
* Thorough understanding of Inland Revenue and Social Security procedures.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office 365.
* Previous HR experience.
* Excellent attention to detail and confidentiality.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
