Job Title: Maternity Support Worker (Band 3)
BHRUT's maternity department is seeking enthusiastic Band 3 maternity support workers with previous experience in the care industry. You will support midwives, nurses, nursery nurses, and doctors in providing care to women and babies within the department.
1. You will be part of the maternity unit rotation, working across all clinical areas, including antenatal clinics, theatres, inpatient wards, and labour wards.
2. Applicants should have experience working with the public, a good standard of numeracy and literacy, and a flexible approach to work in any maternity area.
3. Your main responsibilities include assisting in the care of women and babies during ante-natal, delivery, and postnatal periods, working alongside registered healthcare professionals, and undertaking routine clerical duties to support the midwifery team.
4. You should be proactive in monitoring and anticipating patients' needs within your scope of practice.
