Role: IT Support Specialist 1st line & 2nd line support

Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Specialist to provide first- and second-line support across our UK and Nordic operations. This role offers exposure to a broad range of IT projects and initiatives, ensuring technical systems and solutions are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate enjoys problem-solving, working with people, and supporting a diverse range of technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact for IT queries via phone and helpdesk ticketing system.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues with hardware, software, networks, and peripherals.
Set up, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
Provide support for Microsoft 365, Windows, and other common business applications.
Perform user administration on Active Directory and other relevant platforms.
Record and manage issues using IT support tools, ensuring timely resolution within agreed SLAs.
Utilize remote-control software tools to diagnose and resolve faults.
Document and maintain IT Help Desk policies and procedures.
Assist with business and transformation projects, liaising with international technical teams.
Conduct IT equipment checks upon return, enabling redeployment and reporting damaged or unusable assets.
Working Environment:
Reporting to the IT Service Manager within a matrix organisation.
Based at the UK Head Office with a UK-based IT team of six.
Occasional travel required to support depot IT requirements in the UK and potentially internationally.
Experience & Skills
Functional:
experience within an IT support function or relevant degree.
Competence with Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, Group Policy, Office 365, and common business applications.
Experience with mobile hardware and software (Android).
Desirable: Azure, hardware builds, imaging, deployments, VoIP support, and mobile device management (MDM).
Desirable: IT or Microsoft certifications such as ITIL or Microsoft Certified.
Familiarity with cloud-based solutions and operations.
Desirable: understanding of compliance, audit, or regulatory requirements.
Ability to manage workload under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Personal:
