An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Children and Young People's Well Being Practitioner to join the Training programme team at the GMMH Psychological Therapies Training Centre (PTTC). The PTTC was established in 2000 to run a Postgraduate Diploma programme in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy in partnership with the University of Manchester. We have since expanded our portfolio to include more than 20 programmes/pathways in evidence based psychological therapies training across a broad range of therapeutic modalities, mostly at postgraduate level. We have been highly successful in attracting funding from NHS England as part of national projects aimed at Improving Access to Psychological Therapies across Adult and Children & Young Peoples’ services, and now employ over 80 staff, most of them also in current clinical practice, and train in excess of 400 students per year.
You will be a qualified Low Intensity Practitioner (ideally a CYWP) who has completed 12 months minimum of post qualification practice. As a member of the CYWP training programme team, you will work with more senior colleagues to help plan prepare and deliver teaching sessions to our trainees. Following appropriate training with us, you will also mark trainees assignments as well as supporting trainees in the role of tutor. You will work under supervision and as part of a supportive team.
