Locality Team Manager BANES (Maternity Cover)
This role is part of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Partnership across Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW), which includes Second Step, Alabar, Missing Link and Nilaari. Together, we deliver community-based, trauma-informed support that places people at the heart of mental health and wellbeing services.
Main duties of the job
The purpose of this role is to work with direction from the Senior Operations Manager and Senior Service and Partnerships Manager in the development, implementation and management of new and existing services within the BSW Mental Health and Wellbeing Partnership, within your locality. To manage Senior Recovery navigators and Recovery Navigators, and to work collaboratively with Alabars Locality Manager in Wiltshire and the Second Step Locality Manager in Swindon. To participate in internal and external stakeholder activities and deputise for the Senior Service and Partnership Manager where appropriate.

Job responsibilities
Ensure the locality team runs safely and effectively on a day-to-day basis meeting targets as agreed with the Senior Service and Partnerships Manager. Lead by example and embed the values of the organisation, including ensuring Psychology, Adversity and Trauma Informed practice for both staff and clients. Uphold the Mental Health and Wellbeing Partnership values of focusing on recovery, valuing equity & integrity, doing what works, sharing learning, and leading change and transformation. Be the Second Step lead for the locality and part of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Partnership leadership team. Develop a strong Recovery Focus for the service, including tailored personalised support, positive risk management, and development through co-production. Seek clear service user / friends / family feedback. Recruit, retain and manage direct reports to ensure service objectives and standards are met and that appropriate guidance, supervision and support is given to enable direct reports to carry out their roles effectively.
Person Specification
Experience
* Experience of innovating and implementing new services
* Proven experience of effective team supervision
* Proven experience working in a community‑based service (e.g. supported housing, community mental health team, day centre, education)
* Proven experience of effective risk management of community based services and working within standard operating procedures
