Project Engineer – Water Sector
Altera Recruitment Group is working with a leading engineering service provider within the water and infrastructure sector to source a skilled Project Engineer. The role of a Project Engineer offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of wastewater projects across both infrastructure and non-infrastructure portfolios.
Key Responsibilities of a Project Engineer:

Assist in the end-to-end delivery of multidisciplinary water engineering projects, from concept through to commissioning.
*
Contribute to mechanical and electrical design, including preparing technical specifications and equipment schedules.
*
Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
*
Carry out site assessments and support live project delivery through technical oversight and troubleshooting.
*
Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
What We’re Looking For
*
Minimum of 3 years' experience in mechanical engineering, ideally within the UK water industry.
*
Strong understanding of design, specification, and site-based delivery of MEICA systems.
*
Degree in engineering or a relevant discipline (or equivalent experience).
*
Strong communication and organisational skills with hands-on field knowledge.
*
Proficiency in CAD and project management software is highly desirable.
