ABOUT US:
Daytona Tamworth is home to one of the UK’s premier outdoor karting circuits, offering world-class racing and industry-leading customer service. We’re searching for an experienced, high-energy General Manager to lead our venue and take guest experience, team culture, and operational performance to the next level.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As General Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for running and developing the Daytona Tamworth venue. From racing events and hospitality to team leadership and compliance, you’ll ensure every part of the operation reflects the highest standards in performance, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
You’ll inspire a team of up to 50 staff, including three department heads, and create an environment where safety, teamwork, and service excellence are non-negotiable.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Customer Experience: Champion exceptional service and ensure every guest leaves with a wonderful experience and unforgettable memories.
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, motivate, and manage a large team. Promote a high-performance culture built on accountability and the "Daytona Way."
Operational Oversight: Lead day-to-day circuit operations, including race events, hospitality, and conference facilities.
Venue Standards: Ensure cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance are always of the highest standard.
Health & Safety: Maintain full responsibility for all health and safety compliance for both staff and guests.
Financial Management: Meet and exceed revenue, cost, and profitability targets.
Performance Improvement: Identify business priorities, evaluate operational processes, and implement continuous improvements.
KEY SUCCESS CRITERIA FOR THIS ROLE INCLUDE:
You’re a confident and capable leader who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. You bring the structure, motivation, and energy needed to lead a large team while keeping a sharp eye on detail and operational discipline.
You’ll need to demonstrate:
· Experience managing teams of up to 50 staff, including senior-level reports
· Strong background in operations, hospitality, events, or leisure
· A passion for motorsport and/or kart racing
· Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service
· Outstanding communication, public speaking, and presentation skills
· Organisational and strategic thinking, with a sharp commercial mind
· Tech-savvy and confident with systems like Word, Excel, and internal platforms
· A natural presence on the floor, leading by example and driving performance
